No one wants to get failed in examination. All want to be succeed. This is what Tuanku Begatui want to share to you what happen to our students nowadays.
The changes that occur in Indonesian Education System make the orientation in learning do the same. Students have to prepare themselves to deal with the examination as well as the institute or course like "Bimbel" or Learning Center must prepare the best strategy to prepare their students to deal with the test semester or examination. This, of course, impacts to the result. What result? Is there something wrong?.
Let's think simple. Examination is a barometer whether a students succeed in their studying or not. I can say that the examination can not be avoid or students can not escape from it and must deal with it, willy-nilly. For smart students, this doesn't matter at all. What about others? They mostly don't know what to do even to prepare themselves for the examination. And, finally, "a short-cut method" becomes their solution. What is it?
Short-cut I mentioned above depends on the students choice, like;
a. Taking a course at a college or an institute.
b. Copy or make a crib.
c. Puzzle model
Perhaps, the best method is taking a course at a famous college or at an institute. At least, this reduces the uncertainty of their failure. However, bad impact can not be avoided.
By copying or making a crib, mostly students prepare themselves by a sheet of paper which can not be found but by themselves. This is not a sportive method.
By doing the test like a puzzle, students get frustrated and rely on the destiny. How poor!
Whatever method they take, all impact bad result, either psychologically or mentally. Why?
By focusing themselves to the examination they do not have time to build their talent or capacity or potency in practice even to do some research, pure research. not research based on the formal duty. And, stranger, mostly students don't care what will happen then. For them, all can be paid and by taking out some of money, everything will go clear and fine.
Potency or talent as the highest target that students must reach ignores because of the examination system. I don't talk about the method but the system has changed and destructed all students' potency. Listen!. Students only do what their teacher command. And the teachers only do what the system command. So, I think that the system must be renovated even restructured to find out the truth.
